How to find your PC’s Windows Version

SUMMARY
PCmover requires that your Target PC is on the same or newer Windows version than your old PC. This is most applicable on Windows 10 to Windows 10 transfers since Windows now updates so often, it’s possible your brand new PC out of the box is a few months behind. Don’t worry about this article if you are transferring Windows Vista, 7 or 8 to Windows 10.

To find out which version of Windows your PC is running:
1. Press the Windows key or click the start button
2. Type winver
3. Hit Enter
4. The current Windows 10 version is 2004, an older version would be a lower version number.
If both computers are Windows 10 then please do this process on both PCs.
