Windows Versions: Vista, 7, 8 and 10

PCmover Version 11 (all editions) can be installed on all of these windows versions, and supports transfers to the same or newer version of Windows.

Windows XP

  • PCmover v11 is compatible with XP, however it’s only supported on the OLD PC and ONLY supports network transfers using Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
     
  • PCmover v10 fully supports Windows XP which means it can transfer using Laplink USB cables and using the file-based method. Contact Support for the proper download link.


    • Windows Editions: Pro, Home, Ultimate, Enterprise, Server and Windows 10 “S”

    PCmover transfers are not affected by editions like Home/Home Premium, Pro/Ultimate, or Enterprise Editions of Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10.

    Not Supported: Windows Server and Windows 10 “S”

    PCmover does not officially support Windows Server editions, it may still function for basic migrations of users, files and consumer applications but your mileage will vary when moving Server applications.

    PCmover cannot be installed on Windows 10 S, only applications from the Microsoft Store may be installed, but you can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free.
