How to Temporarily Disable a Firewall

SUMMARY

A program is having trouble connecting and may be blocked by the firewall.

SOLUTION

We should try to disable the firewall to see if that fixes the issue

Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10:
Click Start, type Firewall.cpl in the field at the bottom of the menu, and then hit enter.

On the left side of the window, there is a link that says “Turn Windows Firewall On or Off”, click that.

Select “Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended)” on all sections, and click OK.
